by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

THE
STATES, subject to
the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the
following Law –
ARTICLE 1
In the long title
to the Dwelling-Houses (Rent Control) (Jersey) Law 1946, as amended (hereinafter referred to as
“the principal Law”), after the words “rent of” there
shall be inserted the word “certain”.
ARTICLE 2
After paragraph
(c) of the proviso to Article 2 of the principal Law, there shall be inserted the
following paragraph –
“(ca) let for a term of less than nine years on a
written contract which is expressed as conforming and conforms to a standard
form of written contract prescribed by Regulations made under Article 7 of this
Law.”.
ARTICLE 3
In sub-paragraph
(c) of paragraph (1) of Article 7 of the principal Law after the words “is
required” there shall be inserted the words “or authorized”.
ARTICLE 4
This Law may be
cited as the Dwelling-Houses (Rent Control) (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Law
1993.
