amend the Public Employees (Retirement) (Jersey) Law, 1967, sanctioned by Order
of Her Majesty in Council of the
10th day of FEBRUARY, 1987.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –
ARTICLE
1
Immediately before the words “In this” at the beginning
of Article 1 of the Public Employees (Retirement) (Jersey) Law, 1967. there shall be inserted the figure
“(1)” and after paragraph (1) of the said Article 1 there shall be
inserted the following paragraph –
“(2) For the purposes of
this Law the officers referred to in sub-paragraphs (a) to (e) of Article 1 of
the Departments of the Judiciary and the Legislature (Jersey) Law, 1965, and the Magistrate and Assistant Magistrate shall
be deemed to be persons employed by the States.”
ARTICLE
2
This Law may be cited as the Public Employees (Retirement)
(Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law, 1987 and shall be deemed to have come into
force on the first day of January, 1968.
