Citizens Advice Jersey provides a confidential mediation service. They have trained professionals to help you resolve a dispute. All parties involved have to agree to the mediation.
Examples of disputes that community mediation can help to resolve include:
- disagreements between neighbours (for example, overhanging trees, boundary disagreements, parking infringements)
- disagreements between landlord and tenant over tenancy agreements and deposits
- disagreements of a minor nature (for example, over the quality of workmanship and service)
If the dispute involves a sum of money it must be for less than £10,000.
