A LAW to
amend further the “Loi (1853) établissant la Cour pour la
répression des moindres délits”, the Police Court
(Miscellaneous Provisions) (Jersey) Law, 1949 and the Criminal Justice (Jersey)
Law, 1957, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the
21st DECEMBER, 1983

THE
STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council,
have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE
1
In Article 2 of the “Loi (1853) établissant la Cour
pour la répression des moindres délits”, as amended, for the words “de dix chelins
sterling” there shall be substituted the words
“n’excédant pas cinquante livres”.
ARTICLE
2
In paragraph (1) of Article 6 of the Police Court (Miscellaneous
Provisions) (Jersey) Law, 1949, as amended, for the
words “one hundred pounds” there shall be substituted the words
“one thousand pounds”.
ARTICLE
3
In clause (i) of the proviso to Article 4 of the Criminal Justice
(Jersey) Law, 1957, as amended, for the
words “three months” there shall be substituted the words
“six months”.
ARTICLE 4
This Law may be cited as the Criminal Justice (Miscellaneous
Provisions) (Jersey) Law, 1984.
