THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –
ARTICLE
1
In Article 1 of the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law 1935, as amended, after the definition of “public service
vehicle” there shall be inserted the following definition –
“carrying
passengers for hire or reward” does not include the carriage of
passengers (other than in the course of a business of carrying passengers) in a
motor vehicle adapted to carry not more than eight persons (including the
driver) when the total contributions received by the carrier for the journey
concerned do not involve an element of profit.”.
ARTICLE
2
This Law may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment No. 13)
(Jersey) Law 1980.
