DEPOSITORS AND INVESTORS (PREVENTION OF FRAUD) (AMENDMENT No. 3)

amend further the Depositors and Investors (Prevention of Fraud) (Jersey) Law,
1967, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the
18th day of FEBRUARY, 1976.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE 1
Paragraph (1A) of Article 5 of the Depositors and Investors
(Prevention of Fraud) (Jersey) Law, 1967, as
amended, (hereinafter referred to as “the principal
Law”) is hereby repealed.
ARTICLE 2
In paragraph (1) of Article 9 of the principal Law –
(a) the words “under
paragraph (1) of Article 5 of this Law” shall be deleted;
(b) for the words
“desires so to do” and “will” there shall be
substituted the words “so desires” and “shall”
respectively.
ARTICLE 3
The Depositors and Investors (Prevention of Fraud) (Amendment)
(Jersey) Law, 1968 is hereby repealed.
ARTICLE 4
This Law may be cited as the Depositors and Investors (Prevention
of Fraud) (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Law, 1976, and this Law and the Depositors
and Investors (Prevention of Fraud) (Jersey) Laws, 1967 to 1970 may be cited
together as the Depositors and Investors (Prevention of Fraud) (Jersey) Laws,
1967 to 1976.
