AGRICULTURAL LAND (CONTROL OF SALES AND LEASES) (AMENDMENT No. 2)

amend further the Agricultural Land (Control of Sales and Leases) (Jersey) Law,
1974, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the
8th day of
FEBRUARY, 1984.

THE
STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council,
have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE
1
Paragraph (1) of Article 7 of the Agricultural Land (Control of
Sales and Leases) (Jersey) Law, 1974, as
amended, shall be amended -
(a) by
substituting a colon for the full stop at the end thereof; and
(b) by
inserting at the end thereof the following proviso -
“Provided
that, where any person is convicted of the offence of failing to comply with
any condition made or imposed under this Law and it is shown to the
satisfaction of the court that the offence was substantially a repetition or
continuation of an earlier offence by him after he had been convicted of the
earlier offence, he shall be liable to a fine for every day on which the
earlier offence has been so repeated or continued by him.”.

This Law may be cited as the Agricultural Land (Control of Sales
and Leases) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law, 1984.
