Her Majesty in Council of the

THE
STATES, subject to the Sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council,
have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE
1
Increase of penalties
(1) In
paragraph (3) of Article 35 of the Social Security (Jersey) Law, 1974, as amended, (hereinafter referred to as “the
Law”) for the expression “£50” and
“£10” there shall be substituted the expressions
“£200” and “£50” respectively.
(2) In
Article 36 of the Law –
(a) in
paragraph (1) for the expression “£300” there shall be
substituted the expression “£1,000”;
(b) in
paragraph (3) for the expression “£400” there shall be
substituted the expression “£1,000”;
(c) in
paragraph (4) for the expressions “£50”, in both places where
it appears, and “£10” there shall be substituted the
expressions “£200” and “£50” respectively.
(3) In
paragraph (3) of Article 39 of the Law for the
expression “£10” there shall be substituted the expression
“£50”.

2
Short title
This Law may be cited as the Social Security (Amendment No. 3)
(Jersey) Law, 1983.
