MOTOR TRAFFIC (THIRD-PARTY INSURANCE) (AMENDMENT No. 6) (JERSEY) LAW, 1988.

A LAW           to amend further the Motor Traffic (Third-Party Insurance) (Jersey) Law, 1948, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

 

26th day of october, 1988.

The 18th day of August, 1987.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –

ARTICLE 1

For paragraph (2) of Article 2 of the Motor Traffic (Third-Party Insurance) (Jersey) Law, 1948, as amended,1 there shall be substituted the following paragraph –

“(2)         Any person who acts in contravention of this Article shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand pounds or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding eighteen months, or both.”

ARTICLE 2

This Law may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Third-Party Insurance) (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Law, 1988.
