HEALTH INSURANCE (AMENDMENT No. 7) (JERSEY) LAW, 1987.

A LAW to
amend further the Health Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1967 with respect to the
constitution and proceedings of the Pharmaceutical Benefit Advisory Committee, sanctioned
by Order of the Counsellors of State in Council of the
21st day of OCTOBER, 1987.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –
ARTICLE
1
In the Second Schedule to the Health Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1967, as amended –
(a) in
paragraph 2 –
(i) in
sub-paragraph (b) after the words “pharmaceutical chemist” there
shall be inserted the words “or a medical practitioner”;
(ii) after
sub-paragraph (e) there shall be inserted the following sub-paragraph –
“(f) a
person appointed by the Committee from among the officers under its administration”;
(b) in
sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 4 for the word “re-eligible” there
shall be substituted the words “eligible for re-appointment”;
(c) after
paragraph 9 there shall be inserted the following paragraph –
“9A. Seven
members of the Advisory Committee, including at least one approved medical
practitioner and one approved supplier, constitute a quorum.”
ARTICLE
2
This Law may be cited as the Health Insurance (Amendment No. 7)
(Jersey) Law, 1987.
