HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK (AMENDMENT) (JERSEY) LAW, 1989.

A LAW     to amend the Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law, 1989, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –

ARTICLE 1

The Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law, 1989,1 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) shall be amended in paragraph (3) of Article 12 by deleting the words “Connétable or Centenier” and substituting the words “police officer”.

ARTICLE 2

The principal Law shall be amended by deleting sub-paragraph (d) of paragraph (1) of Article 212 and substituting the following –

“(d)   to contravene any requirement imposed by or under Regulations made under Article 17 or 18 or intentionally to obstruct any person in the exercise of his powers under Article 18;”.

ARTICLE 3

This Law may be cited as the Health and Safety at Work (Amendment) (Jersey) Law, 1989.
