BUILDING LOANS (AMENDMENT No. 8) (JERSEY) LAW, 1976.

amend further the Building Loans (Jersey) Law, 1950, sanctioned by Order of Her
Majesty in Council of the
27th day of OCTOBER, 1976.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE 1
For sub-paragraph (b) of
paragraph (1) of Article 12 of the Building Loans (Jersey) Law, 1950, as amended, there shall be substituted the
following sub-paragraph –
“(b) the owner shall not, by any act or
omission on his part, except with the consent in writing of the Committee and
subject to any conditions attached to such consent, suffer any rente or hypothec, other than a legal hypothec, to become
charged on the property;”.
ARTICLE 2
This Law may be cited as the Building Loans (Amendment No. 8)
(Jersey) Law, 1976 and this Law and the Building Loans (Jersey) Laws, 1950 to
1964 may be cited together as the Building Loans (Jersey) Laws, 1950 to 1976.
