MOTOR TRAFFIC (AMENDMENT No. 12) (JERSEY) LAW, 1979.

A LAW   to amend further the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law, 1935, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

19th day of OCTOBER, 1979.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law:  -

ARTICLE 1

After paragraph (4) of Article 19 of the Motor Traffic (Jersey) Law, 1935, as amended1, there shall be inserted the following paragraph –

“(4A)    In this Article, ‘owner’, in relation to a vehicle which is the subject of a hiring agreement or a hire-purchase agreement, means the person in possession of the vehicle under that agreement.”

ARTICLE 2

This Law may be cited as the Motor Traffic (Amendment No. 12) (Jersey) Law, 1979.
