ROYAL COURT (AMENDMENT No. 6) (JERSEY) LAW 1991

A LAW           to amend further the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –

ARTICLE 1

In Article 10A of the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948, as amended1 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) –

(a)     in paragraph (8) for the words “Act of the States” there shall be substituted the words “Order made by the Finance and Economics Committee” and

(b)     after paragraph (9) there shall be inserted the following paragraph –

                “(10)       The Subordinate Legislation (Jersey) Law 1960, as amended,2 shall apply to Orders made under this Article. ”.

ARTICLE 2

Any Act of the States made under paragraph (8) of Article 10A of the principal Law which was in force immediately before the commencement of this Law shall continue in force until replaced by an Order made by the Finance and Economics Committee under that paragraph of that Article as amended by Article 1 of this Law.

ARTICLE 3

This Law may be cited as the Royal Court (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Law 1991.
