HEALTH INSURANCE (AMENDMENT No. 2) (JERSEY) LAW, 1969.

A LAW to
amend the Health Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1967, sanctioned by Order of Her
Majesty in Council of the
22nd day of OCTOBER, 1969.

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of
Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law: -
ARTICLE 1
(1) In
paragraph (1) of Article 1 of the Health Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1967, as amended
(hereinafter referred to as “the principal Law”) –
(a) the definition
“adult dependant” shall be deleted;
(b) in the definition
“dependant” the words “, an adult dependant” shall be
deleted.
(2) Article
4A of the principal Law2 s hereby repealed.
ARTICLE 2
In paragraph (7) of Article 24 of the principal Law for the words “six months” there shall
be substituted the words “at least one month”.
ARTICLE 3
In paragraph 2 of the Second Schedule to the principal Law –
(a) in sub-paragraph (d), for the words “two approved
suppliers” there shall be substituted the words “three approved
suppliers”;
(b) after sub-paragraph (d) there shall be added the following
sub-paragraph –
“(e) a medical practitioner employed as
a consultant or in a resident medical capacity in a hospital under the
administration of the Public Health Committee, appointed by that
Committee.”
ARTICLE 4
This Law may be cited as the Health Insurance (Amendment No. 2)
(Jersey) Law, 1969, and this Law, the Health Insurance (Jersey) Law, 1967, and
the Health Insurance (Amendment) (Jersey) Law, 1968, may be cited together as
the Health Insurance (Jersey) Laws, 1967 to 1969.
