ROYAL COURT (AMENDMENT No. 7) (JERSEY) LAW 1993

A LAW   to amend further the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948, sanctioned by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

THE STATES, subject to the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the following Law –

ARTICLE 1

For the first proviso to paragraph (2) of Article 5 of the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948, as amended,1 there shall be substituted the following proviso –

“Provided that a member of the Bar or a solicitor shall cease to be a member of the Electoral College from the day upon which he is appointed as Viscount, Judicial Greffier or Greffier of the States:”.

ARTICLE 2

This Law may be cited as the Royal Court (Amendment No. 7) (Jersey) Law 1993 and shall come into force on such day as the States may by Act appoint.
