by Order of Her Majesty in Council of the

THE
STATES, subject to
the sanction of Her Most Excellent Majesty in Council, have adopted the
following Law –
ARTICLE 1
After Article 16
of the Registration of Business Names (Jersey) Law 1956, as amended, there shall be inserted the
following Article –
“ARTICLE 16A
Fees
(1) The
registrar may charge –
(a) such fees as may be
prescribed for or with respect to the carrying out of any function under this
Law; and
(b) such fees as may be
prescribed in respect of any registration for the time being in force under
this Law.
(2) A
fee referred to in sub-paragraph (b) of paragraph (1) may be prescribed on any
basis, including an annual or other periodic basis.
(3) Fees
payable under this Law shall be paid to the Commission.”
ARTICLE 2
This Law may be
cited as the Registration of Business Names (Amendment) (Jersey) Law 1998.
