(Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Amendment No. 5)
(Jersey) Order 2007

THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 63 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey)
Law 1956[1], and after consultation with the Connétable of St. Helier,
orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order”
means the Road Traffic (Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Jersey) Order 2002[2].
2 Article
1 amended
In Article 1 of the principal Order, in the definition
“recognized overseas permit” for the word “Committee”
there shall be substituted the word “Minister”.
3 Schedule
1 amended
(1) In
Schedule 1 to the principal Order, in the entries relating to
St. Helier under the heading “Parking
places – 4 hour limit” –
(a) before
the item and entry relating to Apsley Road there shall be inserted the
following item and entry –
“Albert Street
|
South side (between a point 3 yards west of the western
boundary of No. 12 and the eastern boundary of that property)”;
|
(b) for
the entry relating to the item “Apsley Road” there shall be
substituted the following entry –
“West side (between a
point 10 yards south of the northern boundary of No. 13 and a point 5 yards further
south)”;
|
(c) for
the entry relating to the item “Clarence Road” there shall be
substituted the following entry –
“West side (between
its junction with Don Road and a point 13 yards north)”;
|
(d) the
item and entry relating to Columbus Street shall be deleted;
(e) after
the item and entry relating to Gloucester Street there shall be inserted the
following item and entry –
“Great Union Road
|
West side (between the northern boundary of the property known as
‘Mooreland House’ and a point 6 yards south”;
|
(f) for
the entry relating to the item “Parade, The (eastern arm)” there
shall be substituted the following entry –
“East side (between a point 2 yards north of the
northern boundary of No. 31 and a point 12 yards further
north)”.

(2) In
Schedule 1 to the principal Order, in the entries relating to St Helier
under the heading “Parking places – 1
hour limit” after the item and entry relating to Lewis Street
there shall be added the following item and entry –
“Parade, The (eastern arm)
|
West side (between a point 5 yards north of the north side of
Union Street and a point 7 yards further north)”.

4 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Disabled Persons)
(Parking) (Amendment No. 5) (Jersey) Order 2007 and shall come into force
7 days after it is made.
