Coming into
force in accordance with Article 4
THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE, after consultation with
the Connétable of St. Helier, makes this Order under Articles 62, 64
and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 –
1 Road Traffic
(St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996 amended
This Order amends the Road Traffic
(St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996.
2 Article 32 (fees for permits) amended
(1) This
Article amends Article 32(1).
(2) In
sub-paragraph (a)(i), for “£401.15” there is substituted “£441.67”.
(3) In
sub-paragraph (a)(ii), for “£199.98” there is substituted “£220.18”.
(4) In
sub-paragraph (b), for “£295.84” there is substituted “£325.72”.
3 Schedule 10 amended
(1) This
Article amends Part 1 (parking of vehicles on roads for loading and
unloading) of Schedule 10.
(2) In
the entry relating to “Esplanade”, for the second entry in each of the columns
headed “Location”, “Waiting period” and “Times of restriction”, there is substituted –

“North side (between a point 124 yards
east of its junction with Castle Street and a point 10 yards further
east)
|
20 minutes
|
5 a.m. to midnight Monday
to Saturday”.

(3) In the column headed “Times of restriction”
relating to the following entries, for “12 midnight” there is substituted
“midnight” –
(a) Aquila Road;
(b) Church Street;
(c) Kensington Place, in both
places;
(d) La Rue de L’Etau;
(e) New Street;
(f) Stopford Road.
4 Citation and
commencement
(1) This
Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 42)
(Jersey) Order 2024.
(2) Articles 1,
3 and 4 come into force 7 days after the Order is made.
(3) Article 2
comes into force on 1st May 2024.
