THE STATES, having consulted with the Employment
Forum, make
these Regulations under Articles 17 and 104 of the Employment (Jersey) Law 2003[1] –
1 Regulation 9 of the Employment (Minimum Wage) (Jersey) Regulations
2004 replaced
For Regulation 9 of the
Employment (Minimum Wage) (Jersey) Regulations 2004[2] there is substituted –
“9 Limits on amounts that may be taken into
account for provision of food and living accommodation
(1) Where the employer provides food and living
accommodation, the amount to which Regulations 7(1)(d) and 8(1)(g) refer
is –
(a) in the case of an employee who is a
trainee, £91.10 per week or £13.01 per day; and
(b) in any other case, £121.46 per week or
£17.35 per day.
(2) Where the employer provides living
accommodation but does not provide food, the amount to which
Regulations 7(1)(d) and 8(1)(g) refer is –
(a) in the case of an
employee who is a trainee, £68.34 per week or £9.76 per day; and
(b) in any other case, £91.12
per week or £13.02 per day.”.
2 Citation and
commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Employment (Minimum Wage)
(Amendment No. 16) (Jersey) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 1st April
2020.
