Shipping (SOLAS) (Jersey) Regulations 2004

Made                                                                    17th February 2004

Coming into force                         in accordance with Regulation 3(2)

THE STATES, in pursuance of Articles 49(6)(a) and 50(2)(a) of the Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002,[1] have made the following Regulations –

1        Article 49(1) of the Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002 amended

Article 49(1) of the Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002[2] shall be amended –

(a)     by deleting the full stop at its end and substituting a semicolon;

(b)     by adding the following sub-paragraph –

“(e)    to implement the International Convention for Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 in its application to Jersey.”.

2        Committee authorized to make Orders

The Committee may make Orders for the purposes of Article 49 of the Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002.[3]

3        Citation and commencement

(1)     These Regulations may be cited as the Shipping (SOLAS) (Jersey) Regulations 2004.

(2)     They shall come into force on the same day as the Shipping (Jersey) Law 2002.[4]
