THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE makes this Order under Articles 59
and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 and with the concurrence of the Minister for Treasury and Resources –
1 Road Traffic (Public
Parking Places) (Jersey) Order 2006 amended
This Order amends the Road Traffic
(Public Parking Places) (Jersey) Order 2006.
2 Article 8A (prescribed
charges for parking units and season tickets) amended
(1) In
Article 8A(1), in the table –
(a) in item 1 –
(i) for “46.67” there is substituted “49.52”,
(ii) for “92.38” there is
substituted “99.05”; and
(b) in item 2 for “92.38”
there is substituted “99.05”.
(2) In
Article 8A(2), in the table –
(a) in item 1 –
(i) for “£74.60” there is substituted
“£79.98”,
(ii) in both places in which
it occurs, for “£149.20” there is substituted “£159.96”,
(iii) “STH3” and “STHA1” are
deleted;
(b) in item 2 –
(i) for “£37.30” there is substituted
“£39.99”, and
(ii) in both places in which
it occurs, for “£74.60” there is substituted “£79.98”.
3 Schedule 3 (parking
charges) amended
In Schedule 3 –
(a) in Part 1, “STHA2”
is deleted; and
(b) after Part 3, there
is inserted –
The pay period in respect of the following parking places is the
period between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. on any day.
The prescribed charge payable in respect of a vehicle parked in the
parking place during that pay period is 1 parking unit for each period of
one hour or part of that period that a vehicle is parked in the parking place
during the pay period.
4 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Parking
Places – Charles Street and Charges) (Jersey) Amendment Order 2024 and
comes into force on 1st May 2024.
