THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE after consultation with the Connétable of Grouville makes this Order under Articles 63, 64 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 –

1        Road Traffic (Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Jersey) Order 2002 amended

This Order amends the Road Traffic (Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Jersey) Order 2002.

2        Schedule 1 (parking places for vehicles used by disabled persons) amended

In Schedule 1 before the heading “ST. BRELADE” and “Parking Places – 4 hour limit” there is inserted –

GROUVILLE

Parking places – 2 hour limit

La Rue a Don

North side (between the eastern entrance of Grouville Parish Church and a point 13 yards further east)

Parking places – 1 hour limit

La Rue de la Haye du Puits

North side (between a point 65 yards west of its junction with Rue de la Croix and a point 13 yards further west)”.

3        Minor Amendments

The Schedule contains minor amendments.

4        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Amendment No. 12) (Jersey) Order 2023 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.

Minor Amendments

1        Article 1 (interpretation) amended

In the definition “parking” “, and “park” and “parked” shall be construed accordingly” is deleted.

2        Article 2 (parking of vehicles used by disabled persons) amended

In Article 2 for “shall” there is substituted “must” in –

(a)     paragraph (1);

(b)     paragraph (4).

3        Article 3 (parking places for minibuses for disabled persons) amended

In Article 3 for “shall” there is substituted “must”.

4        Article 4 (restrictions on use of disabled persons parking) amended

In Article 4 for “shall” there is substituted “must” in –

(a)     paragraph (1);

(b)     paragraph (3).

5        Schedule 1 (parking places for vehicles used by disabled persons) amended

In Schedule 1 under the heading “ST. HELIER” and “Parking Places – 1 hour limit” for the item and entry “Savile Street” for “from” there is substituted “between”.
