(General Provisions) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey)

THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 7 and 18
of the Income Support (Jersey) Law 2007[1], orders as follows –
1 Income Support (General Provisions)
(Jersey) Order 2008 amended
In the Income Support (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2008[2] –
(a) in paragraph 8
of Part 1 of Schedule 1, the words “(only required if value in
excess of £10,000)” shall be deleted;
(b) in Schedule 2 –
(i) in
paragraph 2, after sub-paragraph (1A) there shall be inserted the
following sub-paragraph –
“(1B) Where, upon the death of an adult (the
‘deceased’), a household ceases to be a household containing 2 or
more adults and becomes a household containing a sole adult, whichever of sub-paragraph (1)(c),
(d) or (f) applied to the household immediately before the deceased’s
death shall continue to apply to the household, for the period of 12 months
following the deceased’s death.”,
(ii) for
paragraph 2(2)(e) there shall be substituted the following clause –
“(e) the value of such motor
vehicles as are appropriate to the needs of the household;”,
(iii) in
paragraph 5, in sub-paragraphs (a) and (h), for the amount
“20%” there shall be substituted the amount “23%”.
2 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Income Support (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 13) (Jersey) Order 2014
and shall come into force on the 7th April 2014.
