Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2006

THE MINISTER FOR HOME AFFAIRS, in pursuance of Article 15 of the Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Jersey) Law 1999[1], orders as follows –

1        Paragraph 5 of Schedule to the Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Jersey) Order 2000 substituted

For paragraph 5 of the Schedule to the Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Jersey) Order 2000[2] there is substituted the following paragraph –

5        Use of force and abuse of authority

Officers must not use more force than is reasonable, nor should they abuse their authority.

2        Citation and commencement

(1)     This Order may be cited as the Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2006.

(2)     It shall come into effect 7 days after it is made.
