and Planning (Designation of Competent Authorities) (Jersey) Act 2019

THE EMERGENCIES COUNCIL, by virtue of the powers conferred under it
by Article 4 of the Emergency Powers and Planning (Jersey) Law 1990[1], have made the following
Act –
1 Interpretation
In this Act “Law” means the Emergency Powers and
Planning (Jersey) Law 1990[2].
2 Designation
of competent authority: ports
The Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture is
designated as the competent authority in relation to port operations for the
purposes of Article 9A of the Law.
3 Designation
of competent authority: postal services
The Minister for Home Affairs is designated as the competent
authority in relation to postal services for the purposes of Article 6A of
the Law.
4 Designation
of competent authority: telecommunications
The Minister for External Relations is designated as the competent
authority in relation to telecommunications for the purposes of Article 6
of the Law.
5 Citation
and commencement
This Act may be cited as the
Emergency Powers and Planning (Designation of Competent Authorities) (Jersey)
Act 2019.
