(Amendment No. 14) Rules 2012

Coming into force in
accordance with Rule 5
THE SUPERIOR NUMBER OF THE ROYAL COURT, in pursuance of Article 13
of the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948[1] and Article 69 of the Civil
Partnership (Jersey) Law 2012[2], has made the following Rules –
1 Interpretation
In these Rules “principal Rules”
means the Royal Court Rules 2004[3].
2 Part
3 amended
In Rule 3/1(2) of the principal Rules, after sub-paragraph (b)
there shall be inserted the following sub-paragraph –
“(ba) any proceedings under Part 3 or Part 4
of the Civil Partnership (Jersey) Law 2012[4];”.
3 Part
13 amended
In Rule 13/2 of the principal Rules –
(a) in
paragraph (3) for the word “widow” there shall be substituted
the word “claimant”;
(b) in
paragraph (4) for the words “widow shall take her dower on”
there shall be substituted the words “claimant shall take his or her droit usufruitier
in”.
4 Part 18
amended
(1) In
Rule 18/1(3) of the principal Rules, in sub-paragraph (c), for the
words “a woman” there shall be substituted the words “a
widow”.
(2) In
Rule 18/4(3) of the principal Rules, in sub-paragraph (a), for the
words “a woman” there shall be substituted the words “a
married woman”.
5 Citation
and commencement
These Rules may be cited as the Royal Court (Amendment No. 14)
Rules 2012 and shall come into force immediately after Article 69 of
the Civil Partnership (Jersey) Law 2012[5] comes into force.
