Traffic (Parking and Prohibition on Waiting – Amendments) (Jersey) Order
2023

THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE makes this Order under Articles 59,
62, 63, 64 and 84 of the Road Traffic
(Jersey) Law 1956 and after consultation with the Connétable of St. Ouen –
1 Road Traffic (St. Ouen)
(Jersey) Order 1979 amended
(1) This
Article amends the Road Traffic
(St. Ouen) (Jersey) Order 1979.
(2) After
Article 7 (stopping of vehicles at certain road junctions) there is
inserted –
“7A Parking
of motor cycles and mopeds
A road specified in Schedule 6 is designated as a parking place
at which only a motor cycle or moped may park.”.
(3) In
Schedule 2 (prohibition of waiting) –
(a) for the item “La Route de
Plémont” there is substituted –

“La Route de Plémont
|
Both sides (from its junction
with La Rue du Val Bachelier and La Route de Vinchelez for a
distance of 152 yards in a northerly direction).

|
South side (from its junction
with La Rue de Petit Plémont for a distance of 35 yards in a westerly
direction).
|
|
|
East side (from its northern
extent for a distance of 220 yards in a southerly direction).
|
|
|
West side (from a point 25 yards
to the south of its northern extent for a distance of 4 yards in a
southerly direction).
|
|
|
West side (from a point 50 yards
to the south of its northern extent for a distance of 165 yards in a
southerly direction).”.

(b) for the entry “La Route
du Petit Plémont” there is substituted for the first column “La Rue de
Petit Plémont”.
(4) After
Schedule 5 there is inserted –
“Schedule 6
(Article 7A)
parking of motor cycles and mopeds

direction)”.

2 Road Traffic (Disabled
Persons) (Parking) (Jersey) Order 2002 amended
(1) This
Article amends the Road Traffic
(Disabled Persons) (Parking) (Jersey) Order 2002.
(2) In
Schedule 1 (parking places for vehicles used by disabled persons) before
the heading “ST. SAVIOUR” and “Parking places – unlimited duration” there is
inserted –
“ST. OUEN
Parking places – 2 hour limit

West side (between a point 4 yards
south of its northern extent and a point 6 yards further south)”.

3 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Parking and Prohibition
on Waiting – Amendments) (Jersey) Order 2023 and comes into force 7 days
after it is made.
