THE MINISTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT makes this Order under Articles 5 and 49 of the Wildlife (Jersey) Law 2021 –

1        Wildlife (Jersey) Law 2021 amended

This Order amends the Wildlife (Jersey) Law 2021.

2        Schedule 1 (protected wild animals) amended

In the table in Schedule 1, in each of the following items for its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name) there is substituted the entry in column 2 (Species name) of the following table –

(2)     In the table in Part 2 of Schedule 3 in the item “Swallow, barn” for its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name) there is substituted “Hirundo rustica”.

4        Schedule 4 (wild animals whose breeding sites and resting sites are protected) amended

(1)     In the table in Part 1 of Schedule 4, in the item “Snake, grass” for its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name) there is substituted “Natrix helvetica”.

(2)     In the table in Part 2 of Schedule 4 –

(a)     in the item “Seals (all species)” for its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name) there is substituted “Pinnipedia”;

(b)     the item “Snake, grass”, and its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name), is deleted;

(c)     in the item “Toad, common” for its corresponding entry in column 2 (Species name) there is substituted “Bufo spinosus”.

11      Citation and commencement
