(St. Ouen) (Amendment No. 13)
(Jersey) Order 2009

THE MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND TECHNICAL SERVICES, in pursuance of Articles 62 and
84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1], and after consultation with the
Connétable of St. Ouen, orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order “principal Order”
means the Road Traffic (St. Ouen) (Jersey) Order 1979[2].
2 Article
5 amended
In Article 5 of the principal Order –
(a) in
the heading the words “public service” shall be deleted;
(b) in
paragraph (1) after the words “first and second columns of”
there shall be inserted the words “Part 1 of”;
(c) in
paragraph (4) for the words “In this Article,” there shall be
substituted the words “In paragraphs (1) to (3),”;
(d) after
paragraph (4) there shall be inserted the following paragraph –
“(5) Except with the permission in
writing of the Connétable, no vehicle, the overall width of which
exceeds 6 feet 6 inches, shall be driven on any road specified in the first and
second columns of Part 2 of Schedule 3 unless it is –
(a) being driven to or from any premises
situated on or adjacent to a road within that area; or
(b) a vehicle engaged in mechanical road
sweeping or road gully cleaning.”.
3 Schedule
2 amended
At the end of Schedule 2 to the principal Order there shall be
added the following item and entry –
“La Cache de L’Eglise

Both sides (between its junction with La Route du Marais and a
point 26 yards south).”.

4 Schedule
3 amended
In Schedule 3 to the principal Order –
(a) after
the words “(Article 5)” there shall be inserted the following
sub-headings –
“driving and stationing
of certain vehicles
part 1
(Article 5(1))”;
(b) after
Part 1 there shall be added the following Part –
“PART 2
(Article 5(5))
roads of restricted use by
vehicles exceeding 6 feet 6 inches in width

5 Citation
and commencement
(1) This
Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Ouen) (Amendment No. 13)
(Jersey) Order 2009.
(2) This
Order shall come into force 7 days after it is made.
