THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE makes this Order under Articles 64 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956 –

1        Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996 amended

For Article 32 there is substituted –

“32    Fees for permits

(1)     The fee payable –

(a)     for a resident’s parking permit of 12 months’ validity from 1st May –

(i)      in relation to the Cheapside Zone, the St. Mark’s Zone or the St. Thomas’ Zone, is £401.15, and

(ii)      in relation to the Richmond Road Zone, is £199.98; and

(b)     for a business parking permit of 12 months’ validity from 1st May, in relation to any one zone, is £295.84.

(2)     If a permit is to be in force for less than 12 months, the fee payable is an amount calculated pro rata to the amount prescribed under paragraph (1), for each day that the permit is to be in force.”.

2        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 40) (Jersey) Order 2023 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.
