(Determination of Claims and Questions) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey)

THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 29 and 33 of
the Social Security (Jersey) Law 1974[1], Article 1(3) of the Social
Security (Television Licence Benefit) (Jersey) Law 2006[2] and Article 13(3) of the
Social Security (Television Licence Benefit) (Jersey) Regulations 2009[3], orders as follows –
1 Social Security (Determination of Claims
and Questions) (Jersey) Order 1974 amended
In the Social Security (Determination of Claims and Questions)
(Jersey) Order 1974[4] –
(a) for
Article 4 there shall be substituted the following Article –
(1) The Judicial Greffier shall discharge the
functions of the Registrar imposed by this Order and any other enactment.
(2) A reference in any other enactment to the
Registrar appointed under this Article shall be construed as a reference to the
Judicial Greffier.”;
(b) in
Article 20(1) for the definition “Registrar” there shall be
substituted the following definition –
“ ‘Registrar’
shall be construed in accordance with Article 4;”.

Security (Television Licence Benefit) (Jersey) Regulations 2009 amended
In the modification, by Regulation 13(2)(c) of the Social
Security (Television Licence Benefit) (Jersey) Regulations 2009[5], of Article 20(1) of
the Social Security (Determination of Claims and Questions) (Jersey)
Order 1974[6], for the definition
“Registrar” there shall be substituted the following
definition –
“ ‘Registrar’
shall be construed in accordance with Article 4;”.
3 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Social Security (Determination of
Claims and Questions) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Order 2010 and shall
come into force 7 days after it is made.
