Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 34) (Jersey) Order 2019

THE MINISTER FOR INFRASTRUCTURE makes this Order under Articles 62, 63, 64 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956[1] and after consultation with the Connétable of St. Helier.

1        Interpretation

In this Order “principal Order” means the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Jersey) Order 1996[2].

2        Schedule 1 amended

In Schedule 1 to the principal Order, in Part 1, for the item and entry relating to Gas Place there is substituted –

 

“Gas Place (between David Place and Apsley Road)

David Place to Apsley Road

Gas Place (between Apsley Road and Chevalier Road)

Chevalier Road to Apsley Road”.

3        Schedule 4 amended

In Schedule 4 to the principal Order –

(a)     in the second column of the entry relating to Le Close Vaze after the last item which begins “South side (between the northern boundary of No. 35 Le Clos Vaze” there is inserted –

 

Both sides (from the western boundary of No. 45 Le Clos Vaze to the eastern boundary of No. 58 Le Clos Vaze)

Both sides (from the eastern boundary of No. 58 Le Clos Vaze to the eastern boundary of No. 69 Le Clos Vaze)”;

(b)     after the entry and items relating to Paris Lane there is inserted –

 

“Patrick Freely Lane

Both sides (between La Pouquelaye and Upper Clarendon Road)” ;

 

(c)     in the entry relating to Roseville Steet for the entry “East side (between a point 16 yards north of its junction with La Route du Fort and a point 16 yards south of Hastings Road” there is substituted –

 

“East side (between Hastings Road and a point 16 yards south)

East side (between La Route du Fort and a point 16 yards north)”.

4        Schedule 6 amended

In Schedule 6 to the principal Order –

(a)     in Part 1, after the item and entry relating to Garden Lane there is inserted –

 

“Gas Place

(between its junction with Chevalier Road and its junction with Common Lane)

at all times”;

 

(b)     in Part 3, after the item and entry relating to Charing Cross there is inserted –

 

“Gas Place (between its junction with Chevalier Road and its junction with Common Lane)

Pedal Cycles”.

5        Schedule 8 amended

In Schedule 8 to the principal Order –

(a)     in Part 2, in column 2 in the item relating to Commercial Buildings, after the entry beginning “West side” there is inserted –

 

“East side (between a point 7 yards south of the Tunnel and a point 19 yards further south)

East side (between a point 71 yards south of the Tunnel and a point 80 yards further south)

East side (between a point 86 yards south of the Tunnel and a point 98 yards further south)

East side (between a point 137 yards south of the Tunnel and a point 155 yards further south)

(iii)     after the item and entry relating to Poonah Road there is inserted –

(c)     in Part 6, the item and entry relating to Mount Bingham is deleted;

(d)     Parts 7 and 8 are deleted.

6        Schedule 10 amended

In Schedule 10 to the principal Order –

(a)     in Part 1 –

(i)      in the item relating to Commercial Buildings, after the entry relating to East side there is inserted –

 

“East side (between a point 26 yards south of its junction with the Tunnel and a point 37 yards further south)

(b)     in Part 2 in the item relating to the Esplanade for the entry in the column under the heading “Times of use” there is substituted –

7        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (St. Helier) (Amendment No. 34) (Jersey) Order 2019 and comes into force 7 days after the day it is made.
