THE STATES, in pursuance of Articles 31(6) and 44 of the Control of Housing and
Work (Jersey) Law 2012[1], have made the following
Regulations –
1 Article 31 of the Control of Housing and
Work (Jersey) Law 2012 amended
In Article 31 of the Control of Housing and Work (Jersey)
Law 2012[2] –
(a) after
paragraph (1) there shall be inserted the following paragraphs –
“(1A) If a business licence permits any Registered
person to work in or for an undertaking, the licence holder shall pay such
annual charge as may be prescribed, whether in respect of each Registered person
or by reference to a number or numbers of such persons (regardless of the
number of such persons working in or for the undertaking at any time).
(1B) For the purposes of paragraph (1A), a Registered
person whose labour is supplied by the licence holder to any other undertaking
shall be taken to be a person who works in or for the licence holder.”;
(b) in
paragraphs (3) and (5) after the words “paragraph (1)” in
each place there shall be inserted the words “or (1A)”.
2 Citation
and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Control of Housing and Work
(Amendment of Law – Annual Charges) (Jersey) Regulations 2017
and shall come into force 7 days after the day on which they are made.
