Court of Appeal (Civil) (Judicial Review) (Amendment) Rules 2009

THE COURT OF APPEAL, in pursuance of Article 19 of the Court of Appeal (Jersey) Law 1961[1], has made the following Rules –

1        Interpretation

In these Rules “principal Rules” means the Court of Appeal (Civil) (Judicial Review) Rules 2000[2].

2        Rule 6 amended

In Rule 6(4) of the principal Rules –

(a)     the words “subject to the amendments, set out below”;

(b)     in sub-paragraph (e) the words “, subject to the period of ‘4 months’ referred to in paragraph (1) being changed to ‘one month’ ”; and

(c)     in sub-paragraph (g) the words “, subject to the period of ‘4 months’ referred to being changed to ‘one month’ ”,

shall be deleted.

3        Rule 7 amended

The heading to Rule 7 of the principal Rules shall be replaced so as to read “Power to extend and abridge time”.

4        Citation and commencement

These Rules may be cited as the Court of Appeal (Civil) (Judicial Review) (Amendment) Rules 2009 and shall come into force on 3rd August 2009.
