THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 10, 27 and 51
of the Social Security (Jersey) Law 1974[1], orders as follows –
1 Social Security (Contributions) (Jersey)
Order 1975 amended
In the Social Security (Contributions) (Jersey) Order 1975[2] –
(a) in Article A1(1), before the definition
“contribution liability notice” there shall be inserted the
following definition –
“ ‘below compulsory school age’ has the same meaning as in Article 2
of the Education (Jersey) Law 1999[3];”;
(b) in Article 14(1) for the words “who has not
attained the age of 5 years” there shall be substituted the words
“who is below compulsory school age”;
(c) in
Article 14(3) for the words “under the age of 5 years”
there shall be substituted the words “below compulsory school age”.
2 Social
Security (General Benefit) (Jersey) Order 1975 amended
In Article 5(1)(a) of the Social Security (General Benefit)
(Jersey) Order 1975[4], for the words “who
has not attained the age of 5 years” there shall be substituted the
words “who is below compulsory school age, as defined in Article 2
of the Education (Jersey) Law 1999,”.
3 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Social Security (Miscellaneous Provisions No. 5) (Jersey) Order 2015
and shall come into force on 1st September 2015.
