Royal
Court (Amendment No. 24) Rules 2019

Coming into
force 28th October 2019
THE SUPERIOR NUMBER OF THE ROYAL COURT makes these Rules under Article 13
of the Royal Court (Jersey) Law 1948[1] –
1 Interpretation
In these Rules “principal
Rules” means the Royal Court Rules 2004[2].
2 Rule 15/6 inserted
After Rule 15/5 of the principal Rules there is inserted –
“15/6 Withdrawal etc. of appeal
Rule 6/31 applies to the
discontinuance or withdrawal of an appeal for the purposes of this Part as it
applies to the discontinuance or withdrawal of an action for the purposes of
Part 6.”.
3 Rule 15B/3 amended
In Rule 15B/3 of the principal
Rules –
(a) in paragraph (1) for
sub-paragraph (b) there is substituted –
“(b) the Bailiff has granted leave to appeal.”;
(b) in paragraph (2) the
words “or, in the case of an appeal under Article 94(4) of the 2003 Law,
of the date on which the Tribunal’s decision or order was given,” are deleted.
4 Rule 17/3 amended
In Rule 17/3(1) of the principal Rules, sub-paragraph (g) is
deleted.
5 Citation and
commencement
These Rules may be cited as the Royal Court (Amendment No. 24)
Rules 2019 and come into force on 28th October 2019.
