THE MINISTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT makes this Order under Articles 2(2),
7 and 17(8) of the Animal Health (Jersey) Law 2016[1] –
1 Animal Health (Miscellaneous Exotic Diseases) (Jersey) Order 2017
amended
The Animal Health
(Miscellaneous Exotic Diseases) (Jersey) Order 2017[2] is amended in accordance with the following provisions of this
Order.
2 Article 3 (power to kill animals)
amended
In Article 3(1) –
(a) after
sub-paragraph (r) there is inserted –
“(ra) Rinderpest
virus;”;
(b) after
sub-paragraph (s) there is inserted –
3 Schedule 1
(diseases and susceptible animals) amended
In Schedule 1 –
(a) after the item and entry
relating to Porcine Epidemic Diarrhoea there is inserted –
“Psittacosis (otherwise known as Ornithosis
|
Birds”;
|
(b) after the item and entry
relating to Rift Valley fever there is inserted –
“Rinderpest virus
|
Cattle”;
|
(c) after the item and entry
relating to Swine influenza there is inserted –
“Teschen disease
|
Swine
|
Trichinellosis
|
Swine and horses”.
|
4 Schedule 2 (diseases
to which certain restrictions in Schedule 3 apply) amended
In Part 2 of Schedule 2, after “Rift Valley fever” there
is inserted –
“Rinderpest virus
Trichinellosis”.
5 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as the Animal Health (Miscellaneous Exotic
Diseases) (Amendment) (Jersey) Order 2019 and comes into force on 10th October
2019.
