Health (Amendment of Law) (Jersey) Order 2019

THE MINISTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT makes this Order under Articles 2(2)
and 3(2) of the Animal Health (Jersey) Law 2016[1] –
1 Amendment of Animal
Health (Jersey) Law 2016
Schedules 1 and 2 to
the Animal Health (Jersey) Law 2016[2] are amended in accordance with the following provisions of this
Order.
2 Schedule 1 (diseases) amended
In Schedule 1 –
(a) after “Porcine Epidemic
Diarrhoea” there is inserted “Psittacosis (also known as Ornithosis)”;
(b) after “Rift Valley fever”
there is inserted “Rinderpest virus”;
(c) after “Swine vesicular
disease” there is inserted –
“Teschen disease
Trichinellosis”.
3 Schedule 2 (specified pathogens)
amended
In Schedule 2, after “Peste des
petits ruminants virus” there is inserted “Psittacosis (also known as Ornithosis)”.
4 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Animal Health (Amendment of Law) (Jersey) Order 2019 and comes into force
on 10th October 2019.
