LODGING
HOUSES (GENERAL PROVISIONS) (AMENDMENT No. 7) (JERSEY) ORDER 2000

THE
HOUSING COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 5 and 19 of the Lodging Houses
(Registration) (Jersey) Law 1962,
as amended,
orders as follows -
1. In this Order
“principal Order” means the Lodging Houses (General Provisions) (Jersey) Order
1962, as amended.
2. In Article 3(1)(c) of
the principal Order for the words “a fee of two pounds” there shall be
substituted the words “the fee specified in paragraph (1) of Article 4 of this
Order”.
3. For Articles 4 and 5
of the principal Order there shall be substituted the following Article -
“FEES
4.-(1) The
fee to accompany an application for registration, or for the renewal of
registration, of a lodging house under Article 5 of the Law shall be £9.64
multiplied by the maximum number of persons proposed to be lodged at the
lodging house.
(2) The
fee payable under paragraph (1) of this Article shall be refunded if the
application for registration or renewal, as the case may be, is refused.”.
4. The Lodging Houses
(General Provisions) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey) Order 1987
and the Lodging Houses (Amendment No. 6) (Jersey) Order 1999
shall be revoked.
5. This Order may be
cited as the Lodging Houses (Amendment No. 7) (Jersey) Order 2000 and shall
come into force on the first day of January 2001.
