(General Provisions) (Amendment No. 22)

THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 7 and 18 of
the Income Support (Jersey) Law 2007[1], orders as follows –
1 Schedule 2 to the Income Support (General
Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2008 amended
In Schedule 2 to the Income Support (General Provisions)
(Jersey) Order 2008[2], in paragraph 4 –
(a) in
sub-paragraph (1)(a) for the word “estimating” there shall be
substituted the word “assessing”;
(b) for
sub-paragraph (1)(c)(ii) there shall be substituted the following
sub-clause –
“(ii) any qualifying maintenance
payment up to the amount specified in paragraph 2(1)(a) of Schedule 1
to the Regulations in the case of a payment to a spouse or civil partner and up
to the amount specified in paragraph 2(1)(d) of that Schedule in the case
of a payment to a child.”;
(c) after
sub-paragraph (4) there shall be added the following sub-paragraph –
“(5) If the calculation of the
income of a household under paragraph (1) results in a zero or negative
value, the income of the household shall be deemed to have a zero value.”.
2 Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Income Support (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 22) (Jersey)
Order 2017 and shall come into force the day after it is made.
