(Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 4) (Jersey)

Coming into force in
accordance with Article 7
THE HOME AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 8 and 84 of the Road Traffic (Jersey) Law 1956,[1] orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order, “principal Order” means the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Jersey) Order
2003.[2]
2 Article
20 amended
In Article 20 of the principal Order the words “, or contains
details of” shall be omitted.
3 Article
21 amended
In Article 21(1)(a) of the principal Order the words “, or
contains details of” shall be omitted.
4 Schedule
3 amended
In Schedule 3 to the principal Order, in the section headed “Prescribed test” –
(a) for
the amount “£80.00” in column 2 opposite the item “Compulsory
basic training course (and giving of compulsory basic training certificate if
successful)” there shall be substituted the amount “£85.00”;
(b) for
the amount “£24.20” in column 2 opposite the item “Off
road theory test” there shall be substituted the amount “£24.80”;
(c) for
the amount “£37.45” in column 2 opposite the item “On
road practical test other than in respect of category C and D vehicles, and
category A1, A and P vehicles by an applicant required to produce a compulsory
basic training certificate” there shall be substituted the amount
“£38.35”;
(d) for
the amount “£69.50” in column 2 opposite the item “On
road practical test in respect of category C and D vehicles” there
shall be substituted the amount “£71.20”;
(e) for
the amount “£31.90” in column 2 opposite the item “On
road practical test in respect of category A1, A or P category by an applicant
required to produce a compulsory basic training certificate” there shall
be substituted the amount “£32.65”.
5 Schedule
5 amended
In Schedule 5 to the principal Order –
(a) there
shall be omitted the word “Luxembourg”;
(b) there
shall be inserted in the appropriate alphabetical order the words
“Falkland Islands”, “Latvia”, “Malta”,
“Northern Territory of Australia” and “Singapore”.
6 Schedule
6 amended
In Schedule 6 to the principal Order, in Part 1, in the section
headed “Prescribed test” –
(a) for
the words “completed on ......20...” there shall be substituted the
word “completed”;
(b) all
the words after “(BLOCK CAPITALS)” and before “The
successful” shall be deleted.
7 Citation
and commencement
(1) This
Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment
No. 4) (Jersey) Order 2005.
(2) This
Order, other than Article 4, shall come into force 7 days after it is made.
(3) Article
4 shall come into force on 1st January 2006.
