THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 10, 13, 18,
46 and 51 of the Social Security (Jersey) Law 1974[1], orders as follows –
1 Social
Security (Accident Benefit) (Jersey) Order 1974 amended
In Article 4(4) of the Social Security
(Accident Benefit) (Jersey) Order 1974[2] –
(a) in
sub-paragraph (a) for the words “the age of 65” there shall be
substituted the words “pensionable age”;
(b) in
sub-paragraph (b) for the words “is not yet 65” there shall be
substituted the words “has not yet attained pensionable age”.
2 Social
Security (Contributions) (Jersey) Order 1975 amended
In the Social Security (Contributions) (Jersey) Order 1975[3] –
(a) for
the heading to Article 16 there shall be substituted the heading “Class 2 insured persons nearing pensionable age”;
(b) in Article 16(1)
for the words “having attained the age of 60 years,” there shall be
substituted the words “having attained the Class 2 contribution
exception age specified in his or her case by paragraph 4 of Schedule 1AA
to the Law”.
3 Social
Security (Incapacity Benefits) (Jersey) Order 2004 amended
In Article 8(4)(a) of the Social Security (Incapacity Benefits)
(Jersey) Order 2004[4] for the words “but is
not yet 65” there shall be substituted the words “but is not yet of
pensionable age”.
4 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Social Security (Miscellaneous Provisions No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2014
and shall come into force on 1st August 2014.
