Motor Vehicles
(Driving Licences) (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey)
Order 2004

Coming into force in
accordance with Article 6
THE HOME AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Articles 4 and 42 of the Road Traffic (Jersey)
Law 1956,[1] orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order,
“principal Order” means the Motor
Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Jersey) Order 2003.[2]
2 Article
21 amended
In Article 21(1)(b) of the
principal Order there shall be deleted the words “during the 3 years
immediately preceding the date of the application”.
3 Article
24 amended
In Article 24(4)(d) of the
principal Order there shall be deleted the words “during the 3 years
immediately preceding the date of the application for the practical test”.
4 Schedule 3 amended
In Schedule 3 to the principal
Order, in the section headed “Prescribed test” –
(a) for the amount “£23.65” in
column 2 opposite the item “Off road theory test” there shall be
substituted the amount “£24.20”;
(b) for the amount “£36.55” in
column 2 opposite the item “On road practical test other than in respect
of category C and D vehicles, and category A1, A and P vehicles by an applicant
required to produce a compulsory basic training certificate” there shall
be substituted the amount “£37.45”;
(c) for the amount “£67.80” in
column 2 opposite the item “On road practical test in respect of
category C and D vehicles” there shall be substituted the amount “£69.50”;
(d) for the amount “£31.15” in
column 2 opposite the item “On road practical test in respect of category
A1, A or P category by an applicant required to produce a compulsory basic
training certificate” there shall be substituted the amount “£31.90”.
5 Schedule
6 amended
In Schedule 6 to the principal Order, in Part 2 –
(a) for
the words “This Certificate expires on” there shall be substituted
the words “Valid indefinitely. Do not lose. Keep in a safe place. This Certificate
will be invalid if the holder is disqualified from holding or obtaining a
licence to drive.”;
(b) for
the words “Chief Executive Officer” there shall be substituted the
words “Head of Department”.
6 Citation
and commencement
(1) This
Order may be cited as the Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment
No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2004.
(2) The
provisions of this Order, other than Article 4, shall come into force
7 days after this Order is made.
(3) Article
4 shall come into force on 1st January 2005.
