(General Provisions) (Amendment No. 15) (Jersey)

THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 7 and 18
of the Income Support (Jersey) Law 2007[1], orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order a reference to the
“principal Order” is a reference to the Income Support (General
Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2008[2].
2 Article 1
amended
In Article 1(1) of the principal Order, after the definition
“parental responsibility” there shall be inserted the following
definition –
“ ‘pensionable age’ has the same meaning as in the Social Security (Jersey)
Law 1974[3];”.
3 Schedule 2
amended
In Schedule 2 to the principal Order –
(a) in paragraph 2(1) –
(i) for the words “the age of 65 years”, in each
place that they appear, there shall be substituted the words “pensionable
age”,
(ii) in clause (e) for the words “aged 65 years or
over” there shall be substituted the words “who has attained
pensionable age”,
(iii) in clause (f) for the words “is aged 65 years or
over” there shall be substituted the words “has attained
pensionable age”;
(b) in paragraph 5 –
(i) in sub-paragraph (e) for the words “aged under 65
years” there shall be substituted the words “under pensionable
age”,
(ii) in sub-paragraphs (f) and (g) for the words “aged
65 years or over” there shall be substituted the words “who has
attained pensionable age”.
4 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as
the Income Support (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 15) (Jersey)
Order 2014 and shall come into force on 1st August 2014.
