and Measures (Prescribed Quantities – UK Exit From EU) (Jersey) Order 2019

Coming into
force in accordance with Article 4
THE MINISTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,
TOURISM, SPORT AND CULTURE makes this Order under Articles 20 and 38 of the Weights and
Measures (Jersey) Law 1967[1] –
1 Schedule 3 to the Weights and Measures (Jersey) Law 1967 amended
In Schedule 3 to the
Weights and Measures (Jersey) Law 1967[2] –
(a) in Part 4, in
paragraph 3(1) for “only if it is of a net weight” there is substituted
“only if it is sold by net weight, or is of a net weight”;
(b) in Part 5,
paragraphs 3(a) and 4 are deleted;
(c) in Part 7, paragraph
2(b)(i) is deleted;
(d) in Part 9, paragraph
3(a) is deleted.
2 Weights and Measures (Prescribed Quantities No. 1)
(Jersey) Order 1977 amended
In the Weights and
Measures (Prescribed Quantities No. 1) (Jersey) Order 1977[3], Article 6 is deleted.
3 Weights and Measures (Prescribed Quantities No. 2)
(Jersey) Order 1977 amended
In the Weights and
Measures (Prescribed Quantities No. 2) (Jersey) Order 1977[4] –
(a) Article 5 is
deleted;
(b) in Article 6(1), for
“nothing in Article 4 or 5” there is substituted “nothing in Article 4”;
(c) in Article 6(2), for
“nothing in Article 4 or 5” there is substituted “nothing in Article 4”;
(d) in Article 6(3) for “nothing
in Article 4(1), or in Article 5,” there is substituted “nothing in Article 4(1)”.
4 Citation and
commencement
This Order may be cited as the Weights and Measures (Prescribed
Quantities – UK Exit From EU) (Jersey) Order 2019 and comes into force on
the commencement of Article 2 of the European Union (Repeal and Amendment)
(Jersey) Law 2018[5].
