Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Amendment of Law) (No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2021

THE MINISTER FOR EXTERNAL RELATIONS AND FINANCIAL SERVICES makes this Order under Articles 3(2) and 44 of the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 –

1        Article 3 (meaning of “anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism legislation”) of the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 amended

For Article 3(1) of the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008 there is substituted –

“(1)    In this Law, “anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism legislation” means any of the following enactments –

(a)     the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999;

(b)     the Terrorism (Jersey) Law 2002;

(c)     the Money Laundering and Weapons Development (Directions) (Jersey) Law 2012;

(d)     the Sanctions and Asset-Freezing (Jersey) Law 2019, other than Article 8;

(e)     any Regulations or Order made under an enactment falling within any of sub-paragraphs (a) to (d);

(f)      the EU Legislation (Information Accompanying Transfers of Funds) (Jersey) Regulations 2017.”.

2        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Amendment of Law) (No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2021 and comes into force 7 days after it is made.
