Veterinary Surgeons (No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2008

THE MINISTER FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, in pursuance of Article 11 of the Veterinary Surgeons (Jersey) Law 1999[1], orders as follows –

1        Schedule amended

After paragraph 8 of Part 1 of the Schedule to the Veterinary Surgeons (Jersey) Law 1999[2] there is added the following paragraph –

“9.     A procedure to transfer, or to assist in transferring, an embryo between cattle, if that procedure is carried out –

(a)     by a person approved in writing by the Veterinary Officer (as defined in paragraph 8); and

(b)     in accordance with that approval.”.

2        Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Veterinary Surgeons (No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2008 and shall come into force 7 days after it is made.
