THE HOME AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, in pursuance of Article 15 of the Police
(Complaints and Discipline) (Jersey) Law 1999,[1] orders as follows –
1 Interpretation
In this Order, “principal Order”
means the Police (Complaints and Discipline Procedure) (Jersey) Order 2000.[2]
2 Article
1 amended
In Article 1(1) of the principal Order, in the
definition –
(a) “presiding
authority”, for the words “chief officer of some other force”
there shall be substituted the words “police officer from some other
force”;
(b) “presiding
officer”, for the words “police officer of some other force”
there shall be substituted the words “police officer from some other
force”.
3 Article
27 amended
In Article 27 of the principal Order –
(a) in
paragraph (1), for the words “police officer of some other
force” there shall be substituted the words “police officer from
some other force”;
(b) in
paragraph (4), for the words “police officer of some other
force” there shall be substituted the words “police officer from
some other force”.
4 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Police (Complaints and Discipline
Procedure) (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Order 2005 and shall come into force
on the day it is made.
