Income Support
(General Provisions) (Amendment No. 16)
(Jersey) Order 2014

Coming into force in
accordance with Article 2
THE MINISTER FOR SOCIAL SECURITY, in pursuance of Articles 7 and 18
of the Income Support (Jersey) Law 2007[1], orders as follows –
1 Schedule 2 to the Income Support
(General Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2008 amended
In Schedule 2 to the Income Support (General
Provisions) (Jersey) Order 2008[2] –
(a) in paragraph 2(1) –
(i) at the end of clause (f) the full-stop shall be deleted,
(ii) after clause (f) there shall be added the following
clauses –
“(g) in the case of a household containing –
(i) a child who
meets the criteria in Regulation 3 of the Income
Support (Special Payments) (Child Personal Care) (Jersey) Regulations 2014[3], and
(ii) 2 or more
adults

(h) in the case of a household containing –
(i) a child who
meets the criteria in Regulation 3 of the Income Support (Special
Payments) (Child Personal Care) (Jersey) Regulations 2014, and
(ii) only one adult,
where that adult is under pensionable age

£13,706.”,

(iii) after clause (h) there shall be added the following
clauses –
“(i) in the case of a household containing –
(i) a child who
meets the criteria in Regulation 2 of the Income
Support (Special Payments) (Child Personal Care) (Jersey) Regulations 2014,
and
(ii) 2 or more
adults

(j) in the case of a household containing –
(i) a child who
meets the criteria in Regulation 2 of the Income Support (Special
Payments) (Child Personal Care) (Jersey) Regulations 2014, and
(ii) only one adult,
where that adult is under pensionable age

(b) in paragraph 2(2) –
(i) in clause (f) the words “or (d)” shall be
deleted and at the end of clause (f) for the full-stop there shall be
substituted a semi-colon,
(ii) after clause (f) there shall be added the following
clause –
“(g) any
capital that has been accumulated solely to provide for the future care of a
member of a household who is a child who meets the criteria in Regulation 3 of the Income Support (Special
Payments) (Child Personal Care) (Jersey) Regulations 2014 for as long as the member continues to meet that
criteria.”;
(c) in paragraph 5 –
(i) for sub-paragraph (f) there shall be substituted the
following sub-paragraph –
“(f) 100% of the first
£55.23 of any income derived from a pension or annuity of one person in
the household who has attained pensionable age;”;
(ii) for sub-paragraph (g) there shall be substituted the
following sub-paragraph –
“(g) 100% of the first
£35.77 of any income derived from a pension or annuity of any other
person in the household who has attained pensionable age;”.
2 Citation
and commencement
This Order may be cited as Income
Support (General Provisions) (Amendment No. 16) (Jersey) Order 2014 and
shall come into force as follows –
(a) Article 1(a)(i) and (ii) and (b) and this Article shall come into force
on the day after this Order is made;
(b) Article 1(a)(iii)
shall come into force on 1st January 2015;
(c) Article 1(c) shall
come into force on 1st October 2014.
